ULSTER AMERICAN directed by Jeremy Herrin

‘Renny is an artist. Not just an incredible fight director but an incredible story teller. I hope to work with him on many productions in the future.’

– Louisa Harland

‘98% of the time stage fights are terrible – they take you right out of the play. Renny’s work on Ulster American really lifts the whole play up and makes for a perfect climactic finale. Seeing how Renny would make use of ordinary objects and his facility to create exciting drama out of the seemingly mundane made this a really special experience.’

– Woody Harrelson

‘Renny choreographed the climatic fight sequence at the end of Ulster American. It required believability, wit, an awareness of pace and rhythm, comedy, horror and repeatability. He nailed it. He was sensitive to the actors’ comfort and safety, and my desires as a director. The standing ovations every night were testament of, in no small part, to his skill and professionalism.’

– Jeremy Herrin

A host of other fighting talents like aikido, boxing, wrestling, bare-knuckle fighting and all forms of mounted combat, keep him at the top of his profession.

Often imitated but never equalled, with his specific techniques Renny has garnered the respect of highly respected, lauded, innovative directors working today. His attention to detail and ability to tailor every trick, fight and stunt to the individuality of each situation, style, director and artiste brings an excitement and vibrance to every production he is involved with.

Whatever your needs, no matter how extensive, complicated, seemingly impossible or trivial they may appear, as one of the most experienced fight directors in the UK,  Renny will bring his skill to your production, enhance the narrative and ensure the safety of all your artistes and crew.
