Fight director – film
Tyrannosaur:
Working with Paddy Considine was not only an honour, but also I was very aware, considering the content of the film, that every detail had to characteristically correct. The scenes between Eddie Marsan and Olivia Coleman were of such a delicate and violent nature that great sensitivity and care needed to be taken.
Think of England
Director Richard Hawkins script was a brilliant mix of raw violence and passion coupled with a great comedic situation. The filming required my collaboration with a separate intimacy coordinator as part of the violence involved both actors being naked, very violent and very vulnerable. Watch the trailer here.
The Latent Image:
Alexander Birrell took me into a genre of film noir I’d not been part of before. The filming meant a particularly close association with the cast and the make up artist as there was one protracted fight that demanded much of the crew and the cast. Many set-ups and a gradual distressing of the set and the actors.
Tom Grennan: Amen
Director KC Locke has become one of the “go to” directors of music videos. Tom Grennan was just breaking into the mainstream music world and is not an actor of a fighter. An open air, dystopian setting for a bare-knuckle fight with his doppelganger and a crowd of baying supporting artistes proved challenging and satisfying. A great shoot.
